Lena Clark, Chicago Makeup Artist
As a child, Lena Clark Beauty owner and Lead Makeup Artist Lena Clark always wanted to be an artist, but never imagined the mediums and canvases she’d be employing. An appreciation for all things beauty and art led Lena to discover a love for enhancing faces. She evolved from sketching faces on a canvas, to painting faces as her canvas.
After completing a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Lena set out to follow her dream of FINALLY becoming an artist – a Makeup Artist. She attended Dudley Beauty College where she gained valuable skin care knowledge and graduated from the Esthetics program with honors then went on to complete a rigorous training program to become one of the only Certified Acne Specialists in the Chicago area. In addition to her Esthetics background, Lena has also had extensive training with, and mentorship from, some of the top artists in the makeup industry today.
Lena has a genuine passion for highlighting natural beauty by using a combination of traditional and airbrush makeup. Through training, practice, and dedication, she has merged her technical makeup training with her skin care education and experience to develop a well-sought after talent for exposing inner beauty with her signature “red carpet classic glam” style of makeup. Simply put, Lena helps women LOOK and FEEL their BEST with the proper use of product and technique to enhance – not over power – their features.
Lena’s work has been featured on: The Natural Hair Bride, Wedding Guide Chicago, Chicago Style Weddings, Black Bride, The Knot (print edition), and Munaluchi Bride (print edition), and on the Chicago-based reality shows Black Ink Crew – Chicago (season 3 and 4) on Vh1 and The Perfect Fit – a bridal series that premiered on People TV in January 2018. She has hand picked and personally trained a team of Makeup Artists that make up the Lena Clark Beauty team.
The Lena Clark Beauty team is a Wedding Wire Couples’ Choice and Best of The Knot multiple award winning wedding vendor. Over the past 8+ years, Lena and the Lena Clark Beauty team have worked with countless Black/African-American brides in Chicago and destination brides around the world. They happily travel to where ever brides need them in and around Chicago and beyond!
Working with brides to deliver a VIP Bridal Experience and create cherished memories is Lena’s most rewarding work. However, she enjoys the overall process of transforming faces no matter the occasion! Lena is determined to educate and empower women to feel special, beautiful, and powerful one face at a time. In addition to bridal and beauty work, she is also available for group and private makeup lessons and demonstrations. Lena also offers skin care and intimate waxing services focused on effectively treating acne and issues with hyperpigmentation, and performing Brazilian and bikini waxes.
