I hope you all had a wonderfully awesome holiday season. Merry belated Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa, and Happy New Year from my family & loved ones to yours!
If you are using the turn of the new year as a time to renew yourself, kick bad habits, and/or start better habits, congratulations! Every day is a chance for us to be our best selves. To learn better and do better. I wish you luck and good fortune on your journey!
I have’t made a New Year’s resolution since some time around high school, and I still won’t be making one this year or in coming years. But, I do continue to set goals for myself. To put things simply, I want to be better.
This year I will continue to work hard and take every opportunity to better myself personally and professionally. I will become a better mother, a better daughter, a better sister, a better loved one, and a better friend. Oh, and in about six months I will become a wife!
I spent the majority of last year making necessary changes to my business and branding so that I would be stronger in 2015. This year I say goodbye to my former team and begin the path of being a freelance makeup artist on my own.
I take on all of the responsibility that comes along with running a business for myself and by myself. I will become a better makeup artist, a better business woman, and a better educator. Hard work is ahead and I am up for the task!
“Learn from yesterday. Live for today. Hope for tomorrow.”
Tell me: Did you make a New Year’s resolution this year? What was it and how do you plan to stay successful with it?
