A holiday gifting guide for the girl who has everything:
On Black Friday I started my Christmas movie binge thanks to Lifetime Movie Network. Now that I’m officially in the spirit, I decided to, for the first time in many years, make a Christmas wish list. I haven’t written one since I wrote them for Santa so long ago.
I love receiving gifts, but get so much pleasure from giving the perfect gift so this was a fun experience to sit and think about the things *I* want. Hopefully some of my picks will make the perfect gift for one of your friends or family members – or even a gift for yourself!
So, what’s on my list? Check it out (listed in no particular order of importance or desirability):
If I had to describe this scent it would be clean, classic, feminine and sexy! I have loved this fragrance since the first time I smelled it on a woman strolling past me in a hallway. I struggled with chasing down a random woman and blurting out “I’ve been smelling you all day and I like it!” … “OMG you smell SOOO good!” … “Gosh, I love the way you smell!” Luckily, I finally figured out how to ask her the name of the fragrance in a totally non-creepy way and she was nice enough to tell me.
Health is the new wealth! I’ve sought the help of a Dietitian in an ongoing effort to lose weight and live an overall healthier lifestyle. Unfortunately, these appointments are not covered by my insurance – which I find odd since so many diseases can be attributed to obesity and/or lack of proper nutrition (such as diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke, certain cancers, and arthritis), but these are the same companies that for many years covered abortions but not birth control, but I digress.
I think I owe it to God, my family, and myself to do what is within my power to maintain and improve my health – even when it comes as out of pocket expenses.
Yep, I’m a gladiator. I love Love LOVE Olivia Pope’s wardrobe. I wonder if Kerry Washington raids Olivia’s closet at the end of the seasons – I know I would. I *heart* the dresses, cardigans, and coats and jackets in the collection. This collection is so classy and feminine I can’t help but want it!
P.S. The Limited currently has the collection for 30% off.
Zoeva brushes are some of the most aesthetically pleasing brushes I’ve seen that don’t break the bank. I’m so eager to give them a try. This set would make the perfect gift for an amateur beauty obsessed friend and/or a professional. It would also make an awesome travel set which is how I plan to use them – I have an aversion to travel size brush handles.
This brush is a true work of art. A thing of beauty. I can feel the softness through my monitor. I’m convinced that using this brush would be like rubbing baby kittens on your face. Just super soft, fluffy, and pleasant 🙂 . Plus that gold ferrule and lacquered chocolate handle scream luxury and elegance!
This is a suitable gift for any life event! Baby shower? Who needs onesies?! I rock Tom Ford. Housewarming? Forget the fancy china! I rock Tom Ford. Birthday?! Graduation?! Bridal shower?! Wedding?! No matter the occasion…trust me, I WANT TOM FORD [makeup brushes of course]!!!! Please and thank.
A powerful camera in a compact package. I currently use a Nikon D3000 DSLR (discontinued) for my pictures. It’s an awesome camera and takes clear crisp images. But, is very bulky and heavy. When I am traveling with a full kit, lights, a chair, and sometimes a table, it can be a bit hard to also lug my camera around.
This camera gives me everything I need in a convenient size that can fit in my purse or kit (or carry on luggage). Major plus: it also shoots HD video and is wifi capable.
I’ve been on the hunt for a bag that can fit my laptop as well as my wallet and other daily items. I’ve purchased cheaper options with similar shapes but I’ve broken them all 🙁 . I’m hoping that an investment in a quality bag will permanently rid me of this issue. I am torn between the black Epi Leather and the Damier Ebène canvas. But, I would be overjoyed and extremely grateful to receive either!
Material items are great for gifts, but experiences are invaluable. I’ve wanted to visit Paris since I started taking French in 7th grade. I am a nervous flyer so I’ve never actually planned the trip, but one day – soon – I will get over myself and take the plunge.
Happy Holiday Season to you and your loved ones!!!
Tell me: What’s on your wish list and shopping list? Do you have any of the items on my list? If so, I would love to hear your thoughts – especially if you’ve spent time in Paris, France.
