Jasmine got married on my mother’s birthday. I didn’t plan to work that day but there was something special about Jasmine that came across in her Wedding Service Inquiry. When I read her Online Bridal Consultation and met her at her Bridal Preview I knew I made the right decision.
Jasmine is so full of life and personality she made working with her leading up to her wedding day so delightful and entertaining. She opted for the airbrush makeup application because “if it’s not airbrush are you even doing it right?” (Jasmine’s words, not mine!) She knew exactly what she wanted which made everything so easy.
Like most of our Stunning Brides, Jasmine requested a really clean look. She wanted an emphasis on skin – glowy, expensive skin. Airbrush foundation offers a very light coverage and is ideal for clients who want a skin like finish, BUT the formula can be very unforgiving to any texture issues – such as dry flaky skin. Jasmine has healthy normal skin with an overall good tone and texture, but she did have a few areas that were a bit dry. During skin prep we used Hourglass No. 28 Primer Serum on her drier areas to keep her skin soft and help seal in hydration.
We went with a rosy gold toned eye and added some depth and dimension in the outer corner with plums and deep browns. We finished the eyes off with flirty lashes to add a bit of sophisticated drama. For the lip, we kept everything simple with a nude pink for the ceremony. Jasmine upgraded to our Half Day Luxury Wedding Experience so I stayed with her and was able to make a few changes to her look for the reception. One of the changes included a customized red lip. Jasmine loved her reception changes and even checked back in after her wedding to get her lip color “recipe.”
Fun Fact: It’s always an honor to work with a bride on one of the most special days of her life. This time around, the Groom and I shared a special moment when he thanked me for making his wife look so beautiful. It was his first time saying the words “my wife!” It was an such an amazing moment!
