As if wedding planning isn’t complicated enough, my Stunning Bride, Niki planned her wedding in Chicago while living in Dallas, TX. Yikes! Luckily, she was able to find all of her vendors, including myself, via TheKnot.com where I am listed as a “Best of the Knot” award winning bridal makeup artist in the Greater Chicagoland area. Yay for hard work, dedication, and the many satisfied Stunning Brides who shared their honest reviews that helped me achieve this great honor!
Prior to booking her wedding day services, Niki scheduled a quick telephone chat with me to ensure we were a good fit for each other. It is so important that a bride and makeup artist “mesh” well and have a good rapport. Makeup artists are invited into the intimate space of your Bridal Suite on your wedding day and will be one of the last vendors you see prior to walking down the aisle.
Due to the long distance planning of Niki’s wedding, our calls also allowed us to discuss Niki’s overall vision for her wedding day and plan a makeup look that would enhance this vision. In addition, Niki completed her online bridal consultation to ensure I had an understanding of her makeup preferences and all relevant information to nail her perfect look.
I met Niki and her sister/maid of honor at the W-Lakeshore Drive on her wedding day. The lake Michigan view was amazing and provided such a serene and beautiful setting for us to complete our work. Using photo references provided in her consultation form, I was able to design and execute an elegant makeup look with just a hint of glamour as requested.
I am so blessed to have had a chance to work with such an outwardly beautiful woman with such a warm spirit.
Note: Niki graciously shared a few of her professional wedding photos with me, and her photographer, Anna Ginda, Ginda Photography, granted me permission for use on my website.

PSA – Brides, whether you plan to book with me, or someone else, please do not wait until the last minute to secure your wedding makeup artist and book your bridal previews. In the past, I’ve had to turn many brides away because I was already booked on their wedding date. Your wedding day is one of the biggest most important days of your life, and YOU will be photographed more than anything or anyone on this day. Don’t leave your wedding day beauty needs to chance. You should plan to book your wedding makeup artist 9-12 months in advance. Once you secure your artist, book your bridal preview immediately and schedule it for 3-6 months before your wedding day. Happy planning!
